A few months ago, I upgraded all the computers (about 75) in my office's production section to SP3 because we had issues with daylight savings time properly updating.
About half of them had the SP2 daylight savings time patch installed, but instead of installing that patch on all of them, I decided to just roll them all up to SP3 because I thought "Hey, the new service pack should include all the necessary fixes, right?
I would assume our server controls the time and therefore doesn't have that option.
Le Daouk: Can you offer me an opinion on where I can find the time synchronizing option on the server?
We checked the bios and it was the right time, but we changed it manually and restarted pretty quick so I would assume thats why it was right. Please try the following site it will check your DST settings and correct them if they are wrong.
It's been afew years since DST has caused me major problems but it did cause issues on a number of machines as Australia changed the date when it starts/finishes so Microsoft had to put out a patch specifically. Or do you know how long this machine has been having issues?
These paths are used frequently in a variety of front-end development and QA automation tasks.
One of a set of tools we're offering as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community. There are (at least) three ways to verify the 2007 DST updates are installed in Windows XP or Windows 2003. The time zones are located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Time Zones\. Check for old and new versions of Mexican time zones in Window's Time and Date applet. Add a check the option on top to show all updates then look for KB 928388, 929120, and/or 955839.Double click on the clock in the tray area, select the Time Zones tab and look for the Mexican time zones. Microsoft released a tool that will update appointments when you permanently change time zones. Outlook 2007 includes an earlier version of this tool (and SP2 removes it) but Microsoft recommends using downloading the new tool for best results.Microsoft Office Outlook Tool: Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook Administrators can update appointments for all users at once using the Exchange Calendar Update tool. This is similar to the Outlook tool but is used against the server.I heard there is no fix for SP3 daylight savings time even though it still is a problem.
