Follow-up services for former residents are provided for up to one year after they leave the shelter. Community education is also available at no charge.
Once a case has been opened by the Circuit Attorney’s Office, a Victim Advocate Caseworker is assigned to provide court information, notification of hearings, and support and other assistance to the a member of the DV Unit team that includes attorneys and investigators to assure continuity of contact and services for the victim while the case proceeds through the criminal justice process.
